El Pelón Taqueria is a popular and award winning restaurant with two Boston area locations, one in the Fenway neighborhood and the other in Chestnut Hill. In 1998, El Pelón opened its first location focusing on quick but fresh, flavorful and authentic Mexican food. Since then, El Pelón has won numerous awards and accolades from just about every Boston media outlet. In 2008 a fire in a neighboring building destroyed all the businesses on our block. A opened a new location was added while waiting for the original building to be rebuilt. In November 2011, the Fenway location re-opened and both restaurants have been flourishing.
